A MINUTE SILENCE FOR PARIS

A MINUTE SILENCE FOR PARIS
............(60secs gone)
We can no longer be silent. No, not even for a minute. PARIS WEEPS. Her children were gunned and bombed down yesterday. She sobs uncontrollable. She just cannot be consoled. She in her lamentations has called this senseless massacre an ACT OF WAR. Terrorism is never the way. Love and peace should prevail. PARIS WEEPS. Whatever reason terror has, terror-reason is always wrong for terrorism targets the innocents. The children of Paris were in a cinema watching movie yesterday, now we watch their sad tales in televisions today. PARIS WEEPS.
But her wailings seem so loud and her sympathizers seem more populous. That is good but should our wailings not all matter? Long before the children of paris had gone to watch movies, the children of BORNO have been living in Internally displaced People's camps (IDPs). They have long been separated from their parents who are neither dead or lost. Long before the children of Paris sat down to watch movie, the children of YOLA had lost their maternal seats on the lap of their mothers. They now sit on bare floors in IDP camps or in dangerous forests. Long before he children of PARIS laughed at the funny comedies in the cinema, the children of DAMATTURU writ in pains of being raped by savage terrorist and thus face psychological breakdown, STDs and VVF.

PARIS WEEPS. But long before her touching cries, the tears of BIAFRA had dried up, she now shed blood. Her lachrymal fluid is quenched. She now cries blood. Worst in her case, is the fact that everyone says that she has no child. Even some of her children have been taught to believe so. She is barren they say. In the late 60s they were killed. And the persecution prevails till now. How many more children do they expec her to lose before CNN or BBC can report?

PARIS WEEPS. And so do I. Paris has beautiful lasses and so do BIAFRA. The children of Paris deserve not to die and so are the children of Biafra. The children of Paris deserve to watch movies and sports in peace. The children of Biafra do not plead to be allowed to watch movies in cinemas or watch soccer in stadia. They just want the world to recognize that they have a mother.

Lest I forget, terrorism anywhere is terrorism everywhere. Let us together stop the fanatics. But also, let us make sure we don't incite fanaticism by our political decisions. by clandestine sanctions and political killings.
Together let us pray for Paris for she weeps.
Together let us recognize the children of Biafra for she's also a woman

Let us avoid another day of mourning. So many minutes can be saved by that.
